sasser b worm

hi,on starting my computer,after the windows xp pro
screen has loaded and then goes to desktop my screen
flashes 3 times and reverts to 8 bit colours/graphics.i
reset this to 32 bit in control panel and all ok then
next time i restart my computer it all happens again,back
to 8 bit.if i do nothing and just let my computer idle
when i am doing something else after 10 minuits i get
this message.c:\system volume information\_restore

is win 32 sasser.b worm.,i have loaded all microsoft
patches and run there removal tool and rechecked my
computer with microsoft checks and told no virus
present,i have run ezav virus software which is up to
date,also says no virus present but i know there is
because computer running slow,pages sticking,the 8 bit
problem,my internet start up page takes three tries to
cancel,any help and ideas would be helpful,thanks

System Volume Information is the system Restore data.
Turn off/on System Restore to delete corrupted files:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
Click System Restore Settings on left side.
Check "Turn off System Restore", click OK, follow prompts and reboot.
This deletes ALL Restore Points including corruption.
Then go back and turn on system Restore and create a Restore Point.

You also may have a video driver issue.
Go to the website of the hard drive manufacturer and get the latest
Windows XP video driver.
