Sapphire Radeon 9000 VIVO Video In connector??

Hi,
I just purchased a Sapphire Radeon 9000 128MB DDR VIVO PCI video
card(Bulk OEM) for a secondary display replacing a Nv FX 5200.
I cannot find any info on the Video In on this card. The Sapphire CD
has no info, nor their web site (or ATI). Also searched Google and the
Web for hours, to no avail.
It has DVI, S/Video Out, and 15 pin analog connectors on the external
slot and a yellow connector, marked VIN1, identical to the 4 pin
audio connector on a sound card or CD/DVD Drive audio cable.
Anyone know where I can find any info on a connector for video in, or
pinout for the VIN1 connector?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

LarryW

It sounds quite unusual to have a VIDEO IN pin out internally on the
card, but no composite or S-video socket externally (are you sure the
s-video socket is not compatible for both?)... anyway ... have a look at
www.frontx.com

They have a fantastic range of internal cables/ sockets ... I have
ordered from them quite a few times (internal 1394 cable for a front
socket on my pc case; usb cable, audio/video cables etc etc ..). If
your order is over US$20 shipping (courier!) is free.

You can buy some of the stuff from Maplin, however the cost is 3 times
more expensive than ordering direct from the company in Malaysia... they
will even mark up your order as trade sample .. thereby avoiding import
tax etc .... (the shipping is actually fulfilled by an American company)

I have no connection with this company other than I have used them
several times and have been very impressed and pleased with the goods
and service.

Thanks for the info, Trevor.
You would think that the Video In connection would be very easy to
identify. Not the case with this Sapphire 9000. As I stated, it does
have a S/Video connector, DIN with 9 pins. I imagine it could be used
for video in, but cannot find any info on it. It is marked VID OUT on
the card and comes with a S/Video to RCA adaptor with an arrow marking
out from the computer.
I did find this on a forum:
"The big yellow connector is just a SP/DIF digital audio connector
and nothing needs to be plugged in for the card to work. It is for
outputting digital audio to a DD or DTS decoder."
If this true, VIN1 is a very unusual marking for it!!

Thanks Again,
LarryW
