Sansung 940bw Monitor Shows Oval Instead of Circle

Circles on my montitor (Subject) show up as a somewhat flatened oval.
How do I correct that? I re-installed the driver.

Oddly the install disk gets hung up requesting the Adobe Flash plug-in.
on my newly installed XP machine, but works fine on another XP machine.
On the latter, it never asks. Of course, it probably has the plug-in,
but nevertheless I find it odd one hangs up trying to install the
plug-in. It seems to need it for the language (English, in this case)
choice.

Anyway ovals are incorrect. I don't think the hardware controls on the
monitor do anything for that.

The aspect ratio of the monitor should be correct if you're using
the native resolution. The native resolution of that monitor is
listed as 1440 x 900. That is a 16:10 monitor, but there may not
be any other 16:10 ratios to choose from. So set it to 1440x900
and then adjust the DPI setting in Windows, so text is big enough
to read. You should then be seeing circles when circles are displayed.

Thanks very much. I noticed your post while in my second chat session
with Samsung. The first session ended with the person telling it needs
to be taken to a repair facility. I persisted with a second chat. That
one gave me a link that talks to the oval-circle problem. Let's skip how
that turned out. I decided to see if again might be able to get the
manual. Nope not really. So I went the monitor and used 1440x900. Works
fine. I'm happy. Thanks again.
