Sansa e260 not in "My Computer", but is in WMP10.

Hi,

On my old comp, XP Pro SP1 WMP9, I would connect my Sansa e260 (MTP) and I
could then open My Computer (Explorer) and the Sansa e260 would be there and
I could drag and drop, delete, edit, etc.

Now, on my new comp, XP x64 Pro SP2 WMP10, I connect my Sansa e260 and I can
no longer access the player through My Computer (Explorer). The player is
still set for MTP, and for some reason I can access it using WMP's Syncing
capabilities, but I cannot see it the way I used to.

Any ideas how I can regain the Drag-and-drop style of access I had
previously enjoyed?

Thanks!

Do your folder options allow hidden files to be displayed?

They sure do...

Show Hidden Files and Folders is enabled, and "Hide Extensions for Known
File Types" and "Hide Protected Operating System Files" are both disabled.

According to the User's Guide for the e260, once I connect it and the action
menu appears, I should be able to choose "Take No Action", and then if I open
"My Computer" I should see the Sansa e260 as another drive... G drive in my
case, and then I can "drag-and-drop" files and erase files, etc, etc....

This is how it worked before, on my XP Pro (x32) SP1/WMP9.0 computer.

New computer... Now that I am XP x64 Pro SP2/WMP10, I can't seem to do
that. If I choose "Take No Action" and then open My Computer, the Sansa e260
doesn't show up, unless I change the e260 to MSC instead of MTP, which is
what it was before on my old computer.

.... If I choose "Sync using Windows Media Player" I can open and update the
playlists using WMP10, but I find it much easier to drag and drop, not to
mention the fact that I use iTunes for everything, so I don't have anything
at all set up for WMP yet, and I really don't want to add and configure 45gb
of music into WMP just to add files to my 4gb MP3 player...

Had the same problem, downloaded Media Player 11 and you can drag files in MTP mode
