SanDisk Digital Audio Player problem

I have just been given a Sandisk 256MB audio player and even though I am able
to copy my music files from Media Player, I cannot get the music to play.
The files are displayed but no sound. The headphones do work because I also
have the radio and I can hear that. Has anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks for your help.

Forgot to add, you can open My Computer and rightclick the drive and
click Manage.

Hi Byte,

Thanks for getting back to me - I have put in the batteries, I think the
driver's installed (it's there in My Computer), I transferred music files
which show up on the SanDisk when it is switched on but they just won't play.
As I said, the radio plays so it's not the headphones. What else should I
be trying? I am going to try the website you gave me as well but anything
else you can think of, do let me know!

Many thanks,
Sweety

HI Byte,

I have tried everything you have suggested and it still does not work.
There seems to be the pause sign on all the time, even if I press play. I
don't know what to do now!
Help!

Sweety, click the website I gave you earlier. There is a PDF (Adobe
Acrobat Reader) file for you to read. Also, check your owners guide that
came with the player for assistance. From where I stand, I have no
additional guidance to offer you, unless you live next door.

Dear Byte,

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I just wanted to let you know that
all is well and it is now working. I had installed jukebox which was
obviously interfering with wmp so I uninstalled it and now it is fine! I am
very stupid when it comes to all this stuff so I really appreciate your help.
Thanks.

I live in Australia so I don't know if that's next door to you!
