SanDisk Cruzer micro

I have the cruzer micro, 512 meg usb jump drive. I would like to encrypt it
so that when you click on it, it will require a password. The jump drive came
with a program called CruzerLock 2, but as far as I can tell, that only locks
specific files. I want the actual drive to be locked so that if anyone finds
the drive, they can't see what it contains. Is there any way to do this?

Ok, so, is there any other free way that I could password protect my Flash
drive? Keyword free.

If your data is critical enough to want to secure it, is it not worth a few
dollars to get reputable software that will secure it for you?

Do you really want to trust your data to some free security app that is of
unknown origin and quality?

Besides, I would not trust USB flash (yet) with important files for any
long-term storage. They are still "flimsy" and can easily be "wiped" by the
USB ports.

Yves;

Very valid point. I find it most often happens with systems with
inadequate power supplies (undervoltage on the USB bus) and those who do not
use the "Safely Remove Hardware" applet to stop the device before removing
it.
