I have a SanDisk 6 in 1 usb 2.0 card reader. It's drivers
are installed under the USB Mass Storage Device for XP. I
plug it into my usb 1.0 plug & my add hardware icon pops
up in the system tray stating that it found new hardware.
when it starts to install the removable media drives to
the pc I get this message in the add hardware wizard.
(The Specified service does not exist as an installed
service) Sometimes I get this message (The
filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is
incorrect)Then it will tell me to click the finish tab.
It repeats this 4 times because their are four media
drives that it needs to install. The message that I get
after they all go threw that process is that the device
could not install, The drives might not function
properly. I can use the drives but everytime I plug it in
or start my pc it always go threw that problem. In my
device manager it list that the drivers are not installed
in the disk drive section when the card reader is plugged
in. Please someone help me.
