Samsung ML-1710 Ghost Images

I have a Samsung ML-1710 which is producing ghost images of everything 3" apart. I swapped the toner cartridge to no effect. I am considering swapping the fuser, but would like others impressions before I swap out such an expensive part. Also, anyone know where I can get parts for this printer other than at samsungparts.com?
