Haydon

I need a new phone and am looking at a Samsung D900.

Does anyone know whether the Drivers/Address Book Synchronizing Software are
compatible with Vista? On the Samsung site, it only lists Win 2000/XP.

I like Vista, but all my hardware has suddenly become redundant, which is a
real pain in the a*se!

Hi Haydon,

I have an SGH-D900 myself (wonderful phone) and the software "Samsung PC
Studio 3" that comes with it works perfectly together with Vista.

Did you verify the manufacturer-sites of your hardware ?
Just do that and see if they do have drivers for Vista : I think that
Vista-compatible drivers are your problem.
I have no problems whatsoever with all my hardware since I switched from XP
to Vista

Good stuff, cheers.

Hello Geo

I have been directly to the manufactueres sites and downloaded the latest
drivers available for my hardware, but when I try to install them I get a
message come up saying that it 'XYZ doesn't run on this operating system',
or in the case of my printer, it just hangs half way though for some reason.

I have also let windows try to find drivers on line, but doesn't come back
with anything (probably because they are over 5-6 years old)

I guess the printer, flatbed scanner and bluetooth dongle don't worry me too
much, as new ones are pretty cheap to buy now-a-days. It's my Nikon film
scanner that I am pretty gutted about.

It's frustrating when they work fine on XP/2000, but not on Vista, because
you know that it is just the OS that is stopping the devices from working,
when mechanically they are fine.
