Same product key on ywo computers????

My son installed a new home edition of XP on his computer ....he has the key
for his but somehow got the product keys mixed up or something anyway, he
put my key on his computer....he claims it doesnt matter as long as we both
have leagal copies....I told him you cannot have the same key on two
differnt computers, especially if your running both on the internet and need
to install SP2 .....he keeps saying it doesnt matter. Who is right? and
why?

Hi,

It won't matter if you were able to activate both. If you weren't, you will
need to do a repair installation with the other key on one of the systems.
