Same old, same old with Tiger Direct rebates

They simply don't honor their rebates. It is an advertising
scam, so let the buyer beware. Don't buy items from
Tiger Direct and expect to get your rebate. They are not
underselling anybody, and they are using a rebate scam
to make it look like they are.

Don't mean to be argumentative but, I have *never* had a problem with
rebates from Tiger Direct except on one occasion and that was my fault.

Well johns, you know what they say.

Fool me once, shame on you... fool me twice, shame on me.

In other words, stop shopping there and get over it.

I did .........3 years ago they had the best price on a Netgear WGT624
Wireless Router with the laptop card and on top of that they had a $25.00
rebate.Being Canadian I bought thru the Canadian website....could not enetr
my credit card so I needed to phone..which I did.
I was told it would arrive in about 7 to 10 days by mail from a canadian
warehouse.3weeks later I finally received the product it having been shipped
from an American Warehouse...Texas is I remember right. I followd the
instruction and send in the rebate form....I am still waiting and they are
still waiting for my 2nd order.
Since then I have bought parts for 4 computers and 2 LCD monitors...all from
somebody else.

So, you learned a lesson. Move on and shop elsewhere.

For all of you who have been scammed by this
scumbag, call Lori Swanson in Minn. at
800-657-3787

She is the Attorney General for the State, and
heads the Consumer Protection Division.
The scam is being run by Tiger Directs Rebate
Center there. It is about time for our Senators
to step into this. It is the same scam that Dell
Computers has been accused of, and the legals
are on to them too. I would like to see this $50
rebate cost them about $1,000,000.00 in
recovery fines levied by the Feds. I think that
would send a message to the criminals in this
industry.

I'll never do business with them again, and I've
reported this to our purchasing people here.
We will never do business with them again, and
in my case that is support for about 1500 PCs.

My Invoice number is i7632217. So do something about
it. Or, how many times am I going to here this bullshit
from you? I've asked your company to send the rebate
to the proper address more than 30 times now, and
you have done absolutely nothing. The last phone call
to you resulted in your company refusing to issue
another check ... because you will not send it to
a PO box ... which you clearly know is the only way
you can send it by US Mail. It is always something
with you .. another Catch 22 ... and it just keeps
coming. You are a bunch of stinking thieves, and
you think you can get away with it. It is in the hands
of the Atty Gen's Office in Minnesota now, and I
hope they investigate you and shut down your false
advertising for good.

Mwave has been very good to me. We order on average
about 60 PCs a year, and then a world of upgrades and
support parts for another 1500 or so. NewEgg is pretty
good too, but I like the Mwave tech support better.
