Same issue with background on Icons but....

Hello

Just like all the rest, I can't seem to get rid of the blue background
around the text for the icons.

I have tried unselecting then reselecting the use drop shadow button and I
have also unselected lock web items on desktop.

This is a new company computer (thinkpad T43) and the icons originally had
transparent wording background. I preferto have the larger text for the icons
and when I changed it, the blue background appeared behind the text. Since
this is a company computer, I don't have the option of even changing the
screen.

How is it that I can change it one way but not back the other way? Anyone
have any thoughts on how to get rid of the background behind the text?

Thanks

I too have this problem and have tried everything listed here and other
sites...can change the color of the highlighting behind the text under each
desktop icon, but cant remove or make tranparent. Happened after I pasted a
jpeg to the desktop to use in anothet application when needed.
