same email same time stamp four times

I am getting every email 4 times in a row. they all have the same time stamp
but sometimes it takes 5 or 6 minutes for the duplicates to arrive. I am up
to date on all upgrades. My provider tells me its not them. If I access my
email from my hand held I do not have duplicates. Same is true if I access
through my providers website instead of Outlook.

Do you have an antivirus program configured to scan incoming mail? If so,
disable that scan. Also lengthen the server timeout value on the Advanced
tab of your account properties. Make sure your send/receive interval is no
shorter than 8-10 minutes.
