Same email downloaded multiple times into outlook from hotmail

I recently added hotmail to download into my outlook account. Every time I
hit "send/receive" it downloads ALL the messages again. I stopped receiving
any emails after this happened the 3rd time and I now have 3 copies of all my
hotmail emails. HELP!!!

What type of account have you configured? What version of Outlook?

I have the hotmail account configured as POP/SMPT. I have Microsoft Office
Outlook 2003.

If your POP account keeps downloading the same messages over and over, it
means something is preventing the correct completion of the POP session or
preventing Outlook from recording the information on what messages have been
downloaded. There can be several causes. One of the most common is scanning
incoming messages with an antivirus or -spam application. If you have your AV
program integrated with Outlook, uninstall the AV program and reinstall it
without the mail scanning. Another cause is a problem with the mail profile.
You may be able to correct it with a new mail profile. Another cause is
