Hi, Luddite here! How do I start my pC in safety mode? I have been told to
press F8 when starting up windows, but, I have had no luck.

Try F5. Works for me.

As the computer begins to start from no power, you will tap the F8 key
repeatedly. If you wait till you see Windows, it is too late.

Have to keep on clicking F8 repeatly as the pc starts.
