Where do I find "Safely Remove Hardware" in Windows XP Home
Edition? I need to remove some USB components and it used
to be in my System Tray but now somehow is has gone away.

rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll
and use that when you want to open SRH window

I take it these USB components are not built into your computer, so you
don't want the add/remove hardware wizard from contro panel.

It sounds to me as though you are the victim of the disappearing icons
problem. Try going to the start menu and choose log off. This should
bring your tray icon back when windows reappears.
