"Safely Remove Hardware" icon disappear

The "Safely Remove Hardware" icon on my computer disappeared after I
uninstalled and reinstalled my digital camera on my computer. How can I
recover this icon? Will it be harmful to my computer and digital camera if I
removed my camera from my computer after transferred pictures without going
through this "safely remove hardware" procedure?

Hi Richard,

No worries. The camera is plug&play.
If you disconnect it by unplugging the cable, you won't get problems.
