Safe Senders Going to Deleted Items

On multiple occasions, I have designated e-mail received from certain senders
as Safe Senders, either as the specific sender e-mail address or as all
e-mails from that sender's domain name. One is fairly important to me - news
info received from the WSJ; they send several a day for different subjects
such as Asian markets, European markets, and Breaking news. All have the same
domain name. Unfortunately, the application of this rule is very sporadic and
a day doesn't go by that at least one e-mail doesn't end up in the Deleted
Items folder.

I suppose I could go through the process of editing the Rules, but then what
is the point of having the option to add to the Safe Sender's list by
right-clicking? Is there something else going on? I would wager that
something has targeted the e-mails as spam and sending them directly to the
Deleted Items folder, but I have received 2 or 3 at the same time and only 1
went to Delected Items. To repeat, all have the same domain name.

By the way, I verified that the domain name @xxxxxx.com was listed in the
Safe Sender list found in Junk E-mail Options.
