Safe Mode without System Restore

Scott

I followed the guidelines from Norton in how to get rid of
a trojan. I disabled the System Restore option and
restarted with Safe Mode. Now I need to restart using
normal mode and I cant figure out how to do that. Any
ideas?

just let the machine boot as normal. it should start up in "normal" mode
automatically.

Hi Scott,
Usually when the computer is turned off and then
back on, it automatically comes up in normal mode. If
yours is coming up in safe mode, try hitting F8 right
after you turn it on. Hit F8 every second and see if a
menu comes up. That will let you choose between normal and
safe. Hope this helps

duh - great advice - but what is "should" and what it does
are two different things.

I thought so too but it starts in safe mode. Then it says,
you are starting in safe mode do you wish to continue in
safe mode. I click no. It says that it cant go elsewhere
because I disabled System Restore. I tried to enable
Restore but I cant do that in Safe Mode. It says restart
in normal mode and then you can enable Restore. How do I
start in "normal mode"????? AARRRGHHGHGHHH!
