If anyone has trouble hitting F8 just at the right second, to get into
safe mode.. here is the best, altho little known by new users, and
little used. Go start/run type in msconfig.. when the page comes
up.. go to BOOT.INI tab.. check safe mode. apply and then reboot.
You will come up i n the safe mode.. do what you need to do.. then go
back to msconfig and UNcheck safe mode..hit apply and then reboot. You
will come up normal. A screen will come up just check "dont' show
this again", and X it out. Saves a lot of frustration of trying to
hit the bulls eye QUICK, with F8.

sounds good, except for those who cannot get into their computers to use the
command, that trick won't work..I find that instead of trying to find the
exact moment to hit F8, it's just as easy to keep pressing the F8 key,
repeatedly, as soon as the pc screen goes black. Works for me anyway. ;)
