I mess good this time. While updating my Ipod software, I believe a driver
was either deleted or added and is creating a "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
message. This also prohibits the computer from operating normally. I've
tried running in safe mode and using the restore function but it has not
worked. The computer tells me it has successfully restored but it seems it
hasn't. I figured I would unstall Ipod and Itunes in hopes the driver that
was changed will fix itself. I cannot uninstall while in safe mode. Any
ideas?
Thanks.

Have you tried the boot menu optio f8, last good configuration start? To make
things easier for thepc, i would disconnect every cable from the pc, except
the monitor, keyboard n mouse before reboot. As a last resort you could
always do a repair of the system files via a windows install (setup > new
install > repair )

It sounds like a conflict with IRQ's Sometime this is evident with the
yellow question marks in your device manager via control panel > system.
Look for the faulty devices and manually change there IRQ via the properties.
There will be a drop down window for the configurations and each listing
will tell you if it is being used or not. Of course youwant one that is not
in use. .......... You can get more data regarding conflicts via
sysinfo32.exe Do a file search for the file and see
what it says....
