S3 Standby Resets

In XP the computer will go into S3 standy and upon trying to resume, the
computer resets and does a normal bootup. S1 Standby works okay and S3
standy works fine in Windows 98. In fact, S3 standby used to work okay in
XP, too. Since it used to work in XP and still does work in 98, I'm
obliged to think that this is a software issue in XP.

It's been a couple of months since I last tried S3 standby, so I cannot
just do a rollback. No odd errors show up in the event log to clue me on
what is causing the failure. Is there a way to get the resume process to
create a log so that I might be able to determine where the resume is
failing?

Hi,

It's a software issue of sorts, more specifically a driver issue. One or
more device drivers that you've updated do not support coming out of the S3
power state. This is why the system reboots (autorestart on system failure).
You may need to either check for further updates, or possibly reinstall an
older version (you may be able to also use the driver rollback feature).

I have no problem doing this, but am looking for ways to determine which
driver may be causing the problem. Ideally I'd like to find some log such
that it contains:

Stanbdy Resume:
Start Display Driver Resume
Success
Start Mouse Driver Resume
Success
Start Printer Driver Reusume
