S-Video ? Which end will fit in an AIW 9000?

Yes those plugs can be difficult sometimes. Unfortunately a bent pin
was not my problem. Here is a picture of my vid card (the purple plug
is the'S-Video IN'):

And here is a picture of the S-Video cable:

To connect an S-video input to the All In Wonder 9000 you need one of
these

+128+INPUT+US&find%5Fcategory=AA&find%5Fdescription=Accessories&find%5F
part%5Fdesc=&country=USA>

which should have come in the box with it.

Hello,
I am trying to run my DirecTV receiver into my AIW 9000 using S-video.

I purchased a 25' S-Video Cable (Male to Male) but unfortunately neither end
fits into the 'S-Video IN' port on my vid card. I've looked into getting a
'Male to Female' adapter but it doesn't look like the Female end will fit
into the card either.

Does anyone know how I can connect an S-Video cable to this card? Any help
would be greatly appreciated!

Hi kw,
I don't know about your card. Mine is the older Radeon All-In-Wonder,
and it came with an adapter cable. A SVHS input and component inputs,
and
an output to plug into the video-in plug of the card. There may be such
an adapter cable available from either ATI, or your local electronics
store.

Yes, you are missing something. You are looking at the manual for
the regular 9000, not the All-In-Wonder. The manual for the AIW9000 is
at

If you have an All-In-Wonder board then you should see four connectors
on the back, a purple one, a threaded one, a black one, and a squarish
one with lots of holes.

In order, you plug the purple dongle into the purple connector and that
gives you S-Video, Composite, and audio inputs, the TV cable or
antenna into the threaded one, the black one with a bunch of wires
coming out of it into the black one--that gives you S-Video, Composite,
and audio outputs, and your monitor into the one with lots of holes.

If you do not have all of those connectors then you do not have a 9000
All-In-Wonder, you have a regular 9000 with no TV-In.

Hi, I have a totally different card, but I just spent about 20 minutes
trying to plug the s-video back in the other night. The cable and inputs
were right it was just that one of the pins was bent a little. Might be
worth checking to see if it sis something like this.
Good luck.

checked my AIW 9000 pro, same connector as yours. This connector is to
support a breakout box.
Purple connector, purple cable and purple breakout box providing the real
S-video input, and audio input, and composite input.
It should have come with your card!!

That purple thing is not your S-video in..that purple thing is where you
plug in the big purple box that came with your card..your S-video (as well
as all other video connections) plug into the purple box. They do that
becuase there is not enough room on the card for all the connections.
