Using A2K, how can I programatically check to see if a copy of the runtime
database is already running and then maximize it? Otherwise, a user may
click the icon to start a database a second (third, etc) time when actually
the database may have been minimized and is still running.
Thanks for any help.

What you want is the standard behaviour (unless the icon to which you refer
is actually a shortcut which explicitly runs MSACCESS.EXE).
