runtime error

I keep getting this error message, " The driver threw an
exception" I have been experiencing Internet Explorer
problems...eg incredibly slow page loading
time...sometimes My system freezes, quits or closes...I
cannot keep up with the pop-ups...Spy Hunter tell me
Explorer is loaded with parasites. I have been told to
reinstall Internet explorer...but I cannot do that. I
would appreciate any help offered. I spent good money (
$2,500 ) on a Dell...it is barely functioning
