runtime error

I boot up (xp) & when my internet connection (direcTV
satellite) I get an error; Visual C++ runtime error -
then it gives the path as the directv exeucute file. This
error only started today. HELP...

Well, if it only started today, try using System Restore to take you back to
a time before you had this issue. Start\All Programs\Accessories\System
Tools\System Restore.
