Runtime ERror

I have just installed Norton Anti Virus Professional onto my computer but now everytime I start the computer I am getting the following error message

MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ RUNTIME LIBRAR

Runtime Error

Program: C:\Program Files\Commom Files\Symantec Shared\ccEvtMgr.ex

R602
-pure virtual function cal

It is also running extreamly slow and I don't no how to fix the problem. Can you help?

Sounds like one of Symantec's files didn't install correctly. You need to
take this up with Symantec support:

http://support.symantec.com

Personally, I'd uninstall it and return it for whatever you paid for it.
Norton's 2004 line has had a lot of problems.
