Runtime Error.....

I uninstalled my Norton 2003 and re-installed it. I still keep getting the
following message:

I get the following message when I reboot the cpu..it reads as follows:

RunTime Error
Program:C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccEvtMgr.exe
R 6025
Bare Virtual Function

Is this a virus of some sort? I am running XP Professionial. I can't get my
Norton to run either so that's why I think I have a virus. Also, could it be
the W32/Bagle.z@mm virus or the trojan.bipsy? Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think that a virus infection is going to cause this issue, IMHO. I
could be wrong. I think you have some other kind of mishap happening here
with Norton. If you have uninstalled Norton and reinstalled it and that
didn't work, then you may want to try the special uninstall utility to
completely wipe Norton from the machine and then reinstall it. The last I
recall there was such a utility at their Website. If that is not the case or
that doesn't work, then I suggest you make contact with Norton's Tech
Support for assistance.

I used Norton for about a year and this is why I stopped using Norton too,
because of several issues of this nature with the product on a continuous
basis.
