runtime error

When I start up Outlook I get a message in a box named 'Microsoft Visual C++
Debug Library'

The message says;
Debug error!
Program c:\Program Files\..........
Abnormal Program termination

I then get 3 boxes abort/retry/ignore

Any button I click either closes down outlook or produces another box with
the same info as before but no buttons!

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall outlook with no effect, even
installed it to another directory.

Can anyone help, I am desperate if I cant fix this I will lose all my
contacts and most importantly my e-mail distribution lists.
