Debug Error - Microsoft Visual C ++ Debug Library

I keep getting an error message when opening Outlook. This message doesn't
come up everytime, it's quite sporadic. The text box reads the following:
Microsoft Visual C ++ Debug Library
Debug Error
Program: C:\PROGRAM~1\MICROS~2\Office10\OUTLOOK.EXE
Abnormal program termination
(Press retry to debug the application)
And then gives three option; Abort, Retry and Ignore

I've tried everything. Any suggestions anyone

I'm having exactly the same problem. I can't find a solution anywhere. Did
you just do an update before this happened?

I've searched the KB and the best info I've found relating to this issue is
under article ID 325117. It suggests turning off the Exchange Scan Add-In in
Outlook. That's the best info I've been able to obtain pertaining to an
"abnormal program termination." It hasn't resolved the problem for me, but
it did give hope.

Yes, I have this error too, I have Windows XP and Office Professional 2002.
I have installed all updates and have done SP2. I also just yesterday
installed Norton Internet Security 2005 and thats when the problem started
happening. I have 3 desktops set up. I saw similar post saying this problem
occurred with Norton Internet Security 2004 and multiple desktop
environments...so I am verifying that is the case with me too. I do not have
the "add-in scan" as an option in my add-in menu so I dont know what that is
about.

The problem does not occur if I just re-click on the outlook icon to start
the application, but it is annoying and I want it to go away, so any more
suggestions are appreciated.
