runtime error?

After a couple minutes of connecting to the internet, I'm forced by Internet Explorer to disconnect by a message that reads "Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error; abnormal program termination". What does this mean, and how do I correct it?
 
go into tools, internet options and then hit the last tab. one of the check marks has to do with that..unclick it.
