runtime error c:\windows\explorer.exe

when i try to access a folder with video clips the
computer hangs for a while and gives me a runtime error
for c:\windows\explorer.exe and explorer.exe crashes and
restarts
 
Hi Brendan,

It has to do with how Windows XP previews files when opened with Explorer.

Automated Edit: This edit prevents high usage when browsing AVI files.

AVI Search Remove (Line 74)

Manual Edit: Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to the key below and
delete the default data (right pane).

For AVI's

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\.avi\shellex\PropertyHandler

What you could try is opening the clip via the Desktop. Good luck!
