runtime error 2004

can anyone help me with this,It is realy a problem for
me.I am running win xp home I have one gig ram installed
and dont wish to reduce it to 512 unless i have no other
choice. also have g-forcefx ultra 128 meg video card
installed,athlon xp 2700+processor.Thank you for any help
you may give
 
What program is giving you this error? This error could be different things
in different programs. What are you doing at the time you get this error?

This error runtime 2004 out of memory occurs on various
programs,the one i am trying to use now is barback 5.0, i
checked there site for a fix and it says it is a problem
with windows and only happens if you have over 512 megs
of ram installed on your system.Thank you

I don't know what's causing the error, but I can't imagine that
reducing your RAM is the solution.
