upgrade 9800 pro drivers?

I have an ATI 9800 pro on an nforce2 ultra mobo and an Athlon Barton 2800
cpu with 512 megs of pc 3200 ram running on Win xp pro. I am using ATI
driver set 5.10 with control panel. We mostly play older games like ms
flight sim 2004 and need for speed underground.
Is there any benefit to upgrading to the 6.xx series video drivers for this
card? We are not having any problems but just curious as to possible
performance gains if any.
I was also wondering about my other system. It is an Athlon 64 3200+ s939
Venice with an nforce4 ultra mobo with 1 gig of pc 3200 ram and an ASUS
x800xl pci-e video card on Win xp pro. I am using the same 5.10 video driver
set.
Any one recommend upgrading the video drivers on either system?
Cheers
Milo

You should just ask yourself whether you need increased gaming
performance. If not, forget it. If you were able to make a
copy of Windows before testing the new drivers, it would be
risk-free. You should at least use Windows XP system restore (for
what it's worth, I don't use it) before you decide to try new
drivers.
