Running .WMV Video in Power point

Jerry

I recently converted all my video for my power point presentations to .WMV
with the windows meda encoder. All my video's ran smoother and had better
quality.

My laptop I was running my presentations on was recently stolen and I
bought a new laptop and replaced all the codec's and software I could think
of that I had on my old computer. However when I try to play my .WMV files
that I encoded with the media encoder all I get is a black screen with the
sound from the videos playing.

Can anyone help me out Please????

Thanks

Does this happen withing PowerPoint or Windows Media Player (WMP)? Do they
play in WMP? Do you have the same version of WMP that you had on the other
laptop? What codec did you encode them with using Windows Media Encoder?
