running scripts

My PC is running slow. After nosing around in places i usually don't go, the
pc states that a script is running and that this is bad. It gives me the
option of not running it anymore, but when i hit the "do not run" button, it
just dissappears. I go back to where i was and it still says scripts are
running. What is a script and how do i get rid of it?

Well, it's like your asking about taking a drug. There are both good and bad varieties of script. Try some antispy app.
