Running repair from CD

Win2k sp4. I'm running a repair from the Win2k CD because the server freezes
up 2, or 3 times a day. I have already updated all firmware and drivers,
reran sp4, etc, etc with no luck. When I press "R" to repair, I get the
following message: Windows 2000 setup cannot detect hard drive.....The
server is an HP Netserver LC2000r w/NetRaid 1M controller. Can someone help?
thanks

You need to have the Raid controller on a diskette. At the early stage
when you boot with the Windows 2000 CD and Windows starts to load files
you have to press F6 to load the drivers. You will see a prompt to that
effect, informing you about mass storage device drivers. You can just
keep on taping the F6 key when the loading starts and you will get to
the screen in question.

Hi:

This could be because you have an SCSI card whose drivers are not included
on the Windows 2K3 CD. You need them in floppy disk (FD). As soon as you
boot the cd, press F6, you will see the message on the screen, and use the
FD to add the drivers. Them you should have detected the controller and the
logical partition.

You presumably have to insert a floppy disk with drivers for the controller,
when it says 'Press F6 if you need to load additional drivers for <blah blah
mumble>' when booting up.

Do you have a driver diskette? There may be tools to make such a disk on the HP
Software pack that came with the machine.
