running DOS Programs

I receive with one of my programs that runs fine on
windows98 the message:
"XMS allocation error"
How am I be able to run this program using windowsXP

Werner, have you tried running it in compatability mode?

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/using/howto/gethelp/appcompat.asp has
some information. But in short, you can right click on the shortcut that
runs the program, and go to Properties. In the Compatibility tab, choose
Windows 98 and press OK.
