Running Back Up

I am trying to use the back up utility so i can run a system restore. Can I
save it to a folder on my computer, or does it have to be saved to a
removable storage device. Also, why can I not save it to a cd?

The standard backup utility that is shipped with XP will not save the backup
to CD. You will need to look at other backup utilities.

XP does not allow to backup directly to CD. Although you can backup to a
folder on your computer as suggested and burn that to CD if you wish.
