Running Applications Not On Taskbar

M

I am running W XP Media Edition. I am sure I caused this problem but I
do not know what I did to cause it. My running applications do not
appear in the Taskbar. The taskbar is not locked yet I do not see the
'seperator' that should be on the right of the Quick Launch icons.
There are 3 users on this computer and the problem is not happening to
the other 2. Nor is it happening to the Admin when I start up in Safe
Mode.
Thanks for any and all help.

Right Click on Taskbar and check the "Lock Taskbar" item

Also make sure all other items are checked EXCEPT "Auto-Hide Taskbar"

Thanks for the reply but that did not help. By locking the taskbar the
seperator between the start and the quick launch icons was removed. It
did not put the running applications onto the taskbar.

NOTE: It has been reported that the problem could be caused by your screensaver.
Turn off, or change, the screensaver and see if the problem disappears.
