Running and shut down problems

Ever since I downloaded microsofts last security update I
have been having problems. When I start my computer, my
hourglass keeps running and the one menu shows that
WATOOLSA.exe is apparently trying to run with fluxuating
cpu usage. Also when I go to shut down, I get an error
message stating WATOOLSA.exe-DLL initialization failed
and an end program now message of ending program
hpcmpmgr.exe. I have no viruses on my computer and like I
said this didnt start until I downloaded the new security
update from microsoft. Please help. Thank you
