I mistakenly opened an e-mail attachment and it popped up
every 15 seconds, so I searched for it and deleted it.
Now I have lost "rundll32.exe" and I get error messages
and can't use all parts of my computer. When
I "searched" I found several .exe with add'l numbers on
them, in windows\prefetch files, all created on the day I
opened the attachment, and today.
Help. Where do I find the real .exe and where can I
install it? Do I have to delete the new .exe files?
Thanks

Hi,

What attachment? What email? Was it one of the faked security emails?

It can probably be fixed, but we need to know what it is you opened - there
are thousands of possibilities.

Have you run your antivirus software?

It sounds like you installed a virus when you opened the
attachment. Do you use an anti-virus program?
