Rundll32.exe & Defrag errors.................

Error when shutting down. Rundll32.exe will not shut down.
Also I am no longer able to defrag, It will analyze and go into the
defrag process for a while then go to the black screen telling me I
have a system failure. Are these 2 problems related? Any ideas?

Rundll32... I am certain I had this problem before...
do you leave your computer in hibernation rather than
shutting it down? because if it goes a couple of weeks
without rebooting it will tell you it doesnt want to shut
down...

as for defrag... if you have scheduled scandisk to run
recently it may explain the problem

otherwise just save your important files to disk and run
system retore to see if that fixes the problem
