rundll32 error

I can't run the Themes . Desktop , Screen Saver etc window properly, it
complains of a failure to use Run dll as an App. Any ideas? What should I
investigate first?

To repair all system files, go to Start/Run, and type:

SFC /SCANNOW

Hi There!!!

I am having the exact same problem with my pc!!! i downloaded a theme from
the net but when i run it, it installed several adware/spyware. so i deleted
the theme and used 'adaware 6' to get rid of the adware. now i can only have
the 'windows xp' theme on my destop. if i try to swich to another theme or
change a part of my desktop manually (like changing the wallpaper' i get the
error message about Run dll as an App (rundll32 i think). if anyone knows
how to fix this i'd love to know. also if the person who posted the message
below finds out how to fix the problem can you please let me know!!!
