Lost tabs on 'Display Properties'

Brian

When I 'right click' on the desktop and then choose 'Properties' I used to
get tabs for 'Themes', 'Desktop', Screen Saver', 'Appearance' and
'Setttings'. Now, I only get the 'Themes' tab. What have I clicked in
error to make them disappear?

Thanks for the tip, but I'm afraid it hasn't worked - no change at all (and,
yes!, I have re-booted!). I've also noticed that I can not save a changed
'Theme' - I enter a new name when the Theme has been modified, but it won't
save and the theme is still listed as '...(modified). Is this connected in
any way? Any more suggestions?

Thanks

Brian

Go to the following website and scroll down to Line 285, right side. Click

Has anyone played around with Group Policies or used gpedit.msc?
Are you on Windows XP Pro?

Try this:

Go to Start => Run and type in (or copy/paste):

regsvr32 /i shell32.dll
There is a space before and after the /i parameter.

Repeat the process with this:

regsvr32 desk.cpl
There is a space after regsvr32

One you have cleaned your computer then download the following file to your
desktop. Right-click "shw_dsply_tabs.reg" and choose merge.

NOTE: You can view the contents of the file by right-clicking the file and
selecting "Edit".

Thanks to all for your suggestions. Claymore's proposal has worked and all
is now well! Any ideas what I might have done to create the problem?

Where would we be without help, support and suggestions from all you folks?
Thanks again!
