Since I've installed Windows Vista Home Premium O/S, I've had
several problems. Solutions have been slow but problems
resolved. I now have another issue.

I always clean the system deleteing all the stored files by
right clicking on I.E. and going to properties then deleteing
cookies, files and such after each online use. When I go to
delete the files and settings stored by add-ons or "delete All",
I get a window that says Rundll32 has stopped working.

This has become quite annoying after a couple of months, it
always checks for a solution but till now myself and the self
healing powers of the system has yet to find an answer......

Anyone with any ideas????

Thanks much,,,,,,,Randy

Hi Randy,

I don't know the complete answer to your problem, but ... what happens if
you run this command from the command line?

C:\> RunDll32.exe InetCpl.cpl,ClearMyTracksByProcess 8

(this is the same as what IE is doing, under the covers, to delete temporary
files)

If you need to clear out your Internet Cache in a hurry, use this command as
a workaround:

C:\>del "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet
Files" /s /q

Make sure IE is not currently running when you do this. I don't recommend
this command as a regular procedure; but it will delete your Temporary
Intenet Files cache!

Hope it helps a bit,

I usually run a cleaner of sorts for a quick delete. But I still like
to right click on I.E. properties from the desktop and clean up also.
I just no longer click on the delete all and check the box for files
stored by browser add-ons. I run a Ccleaner and adjusted it to do
the job..Thx
