RUNDLL problem on XP

When starting my computer I get the following error
message:

Error Loading C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\NvCpl.dll

A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed
-----------------------------------------------

My display settings are also on the lowest level (4 bit)
and I can't change this.

I'd appreciate any assistance to resolve.

Reinstall your video card drivers.

DLL File: nvcpl or nvcpl.dll
DLL Name: NVIDIA Display Properties Extension
Description: Library file for NVIDIA display adapter.

Common Errors: File Not Found, Missing File, Exception Errors

Hi

Install the latest drivers for your video card:

http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

Depending on which version your card is using now, you have to uninstallthe in situ drivers first.
