Michael

So today I was defragmenting my C: Drive, while
uninstalling a program, and downloading windows updates,
I recieved an error called RUNDLL. It said:

Error in NvCpl.dll
Missing entry:NvCplHandleDisplayChange

Now I get this error all the time. I downloaded a new
Video card driver, I'm not sure if that has anything to
do with it. Thanks,
Michael

Michael -
Sorry you're having a problem. NvCpl.dll (& others)
initialize the clock and memory settings on your n-Vidia-
based video card. If you overclock your card you should
disable this item. The Startup tab in MSCONFIG is one way
to do that. Also you might try System Restore . . . it's
not terribly uncommon to have video anomalies after
certain kinds of updates . . .

Good Luck !

Hi,

The NvCpl.dll you are refering to is a DLL of NVidia Display driver.
nvcpl.dll is part of NVIDIA's Display Properties Extension. Not rebooting
prevents the update from finishing it's installation. This *could* be the
cause of the issues you are now experiencing . NvCpl.dll is an Nvidia file
Were one of the updates for your Nvidia card ?

Try re-installing the drivers and that should fix it else visit Nvidia's
website at www.nvidia.com

Hope this helps ...... :)
