After allowing Norton to fix a trojan virus, after I start up Windows I get a RUNDLL error - file missin
C:\Windows\Systems32\stlbdist.dl

I don't have this file on my work PC, so I'm not sure what gives

Any suggestions

Thanks

Check your start ups with the "msconfig.exe" by typing
that in the run box, and select the startup tab, then look
for any listing with that stlbdist.dll file in it, and
uncheck it, but this is the temp fix. The permanent fix is
to open the registry editor, click edit, and find, type
that file name in, then delete that key when found.

This file appears to be part of the Browser Aid adware rather than a virus or a trojan. See
http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/BrowserAid.html Your "Norton" (you must have something other than basic
Norton AntiVirus) apparently didn't remove all of the pieces. Download, update, and run Ad-Aware
(http://www.lavasoftusa.com) and/or Spybot Search & Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/)
