rundll error + sound card problem

Hi'll,
I am a new member here. I apologize if this message is repost.

Whenever I start my laptop (Windows XP Professional), it throws me an
error:

rundll failed:
failed to load D0CE0C16B1
couldn't find this module.

I tried to copy the rundll file from Windows XP installation CD, but it

didn't work for me
Because of this , I get two problems.

Firstly my laptop doesn't find the drivers for sound card . I
reinstalled the drivers again from the recovery CD and restarted the
laptop. But it didnt work.

Second one is interesting. When I go to Control Panel and then Device
Manager, no devices are displayed there. There is a blank page.

Any help is highly appreciable.

Regards,
Scorpionking

Doesnt look like a legit file. Clean your system of
spyware/virues/trojans.

D0CE0C16B1.DLL is the file and BrowserAid is the parisite.

D0CE0C16B1
http://castlecops.com/startuplist-5622.html

BrowserAid/LB/D uses filename D0CE0C16B1.DLL
doxdesk.com: database: BrowserAid
http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/BrowserAid.html

Maybe BrowserAid has been removed, but the run reference is still in the
registry.

Look at...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Hope this helps. Let us know.
